About Me

Who am I?

Lacey is a vibrant, upbeat, and fun-loving individual who is passionate about creating positive environments and spreading joy wherever she goes. With a natural ability to bring light and energy to any space, Lacey has been recognized for her infectious positivity and uplifting presence. She finds true fulfillment in being a wife and a mother to two wonderful children and is deeply grateful for the love and growth her family brings into her life.

A graduate of Iowa State University, Lacey studied Child, Adult, and Family Services, a field she has been dedicated to for the past six years. During this time, she worked closely with children and families with special healthcare needs, providing essential respite care for caregivers who often felt overwhelmed and isolated. Through this work, Lacey came to deeply understand the importance of rest, support, and self-care—not just for the people receiving care, but for those giving it. But it wasn’t until she became a mother herself that this understanding took on an even more personal meaning.

After the birth of her child, Lacey found herself facing the challenges of postpartum life in a way she hadn’t fully anticipated. The physical healing, the emotional ups and downs, and the pressure to "do it all" left her feeling depleted and alone at times—despite having a background in family support.

That experience became a turning point.

Through her own postpartum struggles, Lacey discovered the critical gap in care that many new mothers face. It sparked a calling in her—to become the kind of support she had needed during that tender season. She became a certified postpartum doula to be able to offer families what she now knows is essential: compassionate, non-judgmental care for the entire postpartum journey.

Today, Lacey brings both professional expertise and lived experience to her work. She offers practical support, emotional encouragement, and a calming presence to new parents as they navigate the joys and challenges of life after birth. Her mission is simple: to help mothers feel seen, supported, and never alone.

My Postpartum Journey

My Journey into Motherhood and Why I Became a Postpartum Doula

My transition into motherhood was nothing like I had imagined. While many of my friends described their postpartum experience as joyful and smooth, mine was filled with unexpected emotional challenges. Almost immediately, I was met with baby blues, which soon evolved into intense anxiety and intrusive, irrational thoughts. As the anxiety lingered, depression quietly settled in. I was surrounded by a loving and supportive network, yet I felt isolated—like no one truly understood the storm I was weathering internally.

I found myself in a dark place, disconnected from who I once was, and unsure of who I was becoming. As that first year came to a close, I slowly began to see glimpses of light again. The heaviness of the anxiety and depression started to lift, but I was left with a new question: Who am I now?

I hadn’t had the time—or the tools—to grieve the version of myself I had left behind, or to meet and embrace the new version of myself that had emerged. So I began a journey of self-discovery. Now, two children and four years later, I can confidently say I’ve reconnected with my core in a deeper, more meaningful way than ever before.

While my path through postpartum and motherhood wasn’t what I expected, I’m deeply grateful for where it led me. It gave me not only a renewed sense of self, but also a profound purpose: to support other mothers through their own postpartum journeys.

As a postpartum doula, my passion lies in walking alongside new moms during this incredibly transformative time. I’m here to listen, to reassure, to hold space for all the emotions that come with new motherhood. My goal is to provide the kind of emotional and practical support I wish I had during those early days—and to help the entire family adjust to their new dynamic with care and compassion.

It would be my honor to support you during this sacred season of change. You don’t have to go through it alone.
