Throughout this time, she has focused on supporting children and families with special healthcare needs, offering vital respite breaks to caregivers who often find themselves overwhelmed. Witnessing firsthand the profound impact these breaks have on families led Lacey to further explore the importance of self-care, both for individuals and for those who care for others.

Self-care was never something I truly prioritized until I became a mother. For years, I was consumed by the demands of others, constantly putting their needs ahead of my own. As a result, I became deeply fatigued, overwhelmed, and filled with anxiety. The pressure of trying to meet everyone’s expectations while neglecting my own well-being took a toll on my physical and emotional health. I found myself at a breaking point, exhausted, and realizing that I simply couldn’t keep going down this path. It became clear to me that if I didn’t make a change, I would continue to spiral into burnout and exhaustion.
That’s when I made the decision to prioritize myself. I realized that in order to be the best wife, mother, and friend, I needed to first take care of myself. I began to explore various self-care practices, from simple relaxation techniques to establishing healthy routines, and slowly started to recognize the incredible power that came with nourishing my mind, body, and spirit. By embracing self-care, I not only began to feel more balanced and energized, but I also discovered that taking care of myself allowed me to show up more fully for those I loved and for the roles I played in my life.
